VERITHRIVE® is a marketplace for Users to find, match and book professionals in the fitness, health, and wellness sector. It exists to help Users find qualified, vetted and verified Professionals with peace of mind and gives qualified professionals a space to promote their services.

This privacy policy constitutes a legally binding agreement governing the collection and use of data that VERITHRIVE collects about you when you access or use the Platform and explains how we collect, use, share and process your information (the “Privacy Policy”).

By accessing or using the Platform, Users and Professionals agree to be bound by this Privacy Policy. If you do not agree to these terms, you must cease using the Platform immediately.

Protecting your privacy is not just a legal obligation for us — it is a core part of our values.

 

This Privacy Policy explains how VERITHRIVE collects, uses, stores, and protects your personal data when you use our platform.

Definitions:

  • “User”: An individual who accesses or uses the Platform to search for, compare, message, book, review or otherwise engage with Professionals.

  • “Professional”: An independent service provider offering fitness, wellness and lifestyle services through the Platform, including but not limited to, fitness trainers, physiotherapists, osteopaths, nutritionists, and private chefs.

  • “Platform”: our website, mobile application, and any related online services offered by VERITHRIVE.

 

This Privacy Policy applies to all visitors, Users, and Professionals.

 

This Privacy Policy may change and, if it does, those changes will be posted on this page and notified to you by email. You may be required to read and acknowledge the changes to continue your use of the Platform.

 

It is important that the personal data we hold about you is accurate and current. Please keep us informed if your personal data changes during our relationship with you. Please visit the Profile section of your Account to update your Personal details.

 

The Platform may, from time to time, contain links to and from the websites of third parties, such as Stripe. Please note that these websites (and any services accessible through them) are controlled by those third parties and are not covered by this Privacy Policy. You should review their own privacy notices to understand how they use your personal data before you submit any personal data to these websites or use these services.

VERITHRIVE is operated by Thrive Health and Fitness Ltd, trading as VERITHRIVE
(ICO Registration Number: ZB 993716).

VERITHRIVE is the controller and is responsible for personal data provided via the Platform.  Professionals may act as independent data controllers for personal data they process outside the VERITHRIVE Platform.

VERITHRIVE has appointed a Data Protection Lead responsible for overseeing compliance with applicable data protection laws. If you have any questions about this Privacy Policy, please contact our Data Protection Lead by emailing support@verithrive.co.uk.

3. The Personal Data We Collect

We collect, use, store and transfer different kinds of personal data about you, for example when you register with us, and through your transactions and interactions with us.

 

The Platform also uses common automatic information collection and tracking technologies, such as cookies and beacons, to collect information about you.

 

We collect personal data that allows an individual to be identified, including:

Contact Data

  • Residential or business address

  • Email address

Transaction & Financial Data

  • Services booked or provided

Payment details are processed securely by third-party providers. We do not store full card or bank details.

 

Professional Data (Professionals only for verification)

  • Qualifications and certifications

  • Professional registrations

  • Biography, services, experience, and areas of expertise

  • Government-issued identification (passport, driving licence)

 

Technical & Usage Data

  • IP address

  • Device, browser, and operating system information

  • Login and messaging data

  • Platform usage, searches, favourites, ratings, and preferences

 

Marketing & Communications Data

  • Marketing preferences

  • Communication preferences

 

Providing certain information is required to access platform features. Choosing not to do so may limit functionality.

We collect approximate or actual location data to match Users with nearby Professionals.

 

This may include:

  • Address or postcode provided during registration

  • IP address

  • Device GPS data (subject to device settings)

 

Location data is used solely for platform functionality and service matching and delivery.

The platform is not intended for individuals under the age of 18, and we do not knowingly collect personal data from children.

Payments made through the platform are processed securely by trusted third-party providers such as Stripe.

VERITHRIVE does not store or have direct access to full payment card or bank details.

We use your personal data to provide you with the services you request. We process personal data only where there is a lawful basis, including:

  • Contractual necessity (account creation, bookings, payments, service delivery);

  • Consent (marketing communications, where applicable);

  • Legal obligations(compliance with a legal or regulatory obligation);

  • Legitimate interests, such as improving the platform, fraud prevention, and service-related communications; and

  • Collected from an open source and used to carry out contracted services,

 

Where we rely on legitimate interests, we conduct a balancing assessment to ensure your rights are not overridden.

If required personal data is not provided, we may be unable to deliver certain services.

We do not make decisions based solely on automated processing or profiling that produce legal effects concerning you (or have similarly significant effects).

9. Reviews & Feedback

Users may leave reviews or feedback about Professionals via the platform.

Reviews support transparency, informed decision-making, and service quality.

  • Reviews submitted through the platform are processed by VERITHRIVE as controller and processor

  • All reviews will be available to all other platform users

  • Where Professionals request feedback directly, they act as the data controller

 

All reviews are moderated in accordance with our Review Guidelines (see Section 20).

10. Data Sharing

The data you upload to the platform may be shared with others:

  • Professionals: your profile will be available to all Users with an account.

  • Users: your information will be available to Professionals upon matching.

 

We do not sell or rent personal data.

 

We may share limited personal data with:

  • Professionals, to facilitate bookings and service delivery;

  • Trusted service providers (hosting, payments, analytics);

  • Trusted advisors (consultants, lawyers, and advisors);

  • Third parties to whom we may choose to sell, transfer or merge parts of our business or our assets. Alternatively, we may seek to acquire other businesses or merge with them. If a change happens to our business, then the new owners may use your personal data in the same way as set out in this privacy notice; and

  • HM Revenue and Customs, regulators, law enforcement, public authorities or other third parties based in the UK where necessary to exercise our rights or comply with a legal obligation.

 

All third parties are subject to strict contractual and security obligations and process data only on our instructions.

 

We may disclose data where required by law or to protect the safety and rights of platform users.

 

We do not transfer your personal data outside the UK.

11. Data Ownership

All content, copyrights, and intellectual property on the Platform shall remain the exclusive property of Thrive Health and Fitness Ltd, trading as VERITHRIVE, including:

  • Any trademarks, service marks and logos, whether registered or unregistered, are distinctive and protected.

  • Copyright of all content, the platform’s design, text, graphics, images, profiles, case studies, testimonials, audio, video, data, software, source codes and service descriptions, including any content you upload to VERITHRIVE.

  • The platform may also contain various 3rd party trademarks and copyrights which are the exclusive property of their respective owners.

 

You retain ownership of all your own rights to your content, including intellectual property and copyrights, but by uploading any content to the platform you grant VERITHRIVE a perpetual, royalty-free, worldwide, sub-licensable and transferable licence to:

  • Reproduce, display and distribute your content within the platform;

  • Use your Content in marketing, promotional materials, advertisements, social media, the press, and to  share it with VERITHRIVE’s chosen media partners;

 

None of this entitles you to any payment.

 

Users and Professionals are granted the right to use the platform for their personal and professional needs in line with these Terms.

 

You represent and warrant that you own or control all rights in your content and that you own all rights to your content, and that you have all necessary rights to upload any content that is not yours and that its use by VERITHRIVE will not infringe any third-party rights.

 

Nothing within these Terms grants you a licence or right to use any of these trademarks or copyrights or content unless expressly permitted in writing by VERITHRIVE, or from our respective 3rd party providers.

 

You also represent and warrant that you will not use, copy, modify, edit, adapt, translate, publish, or try to recreate any part of the platform, including trademarks and copyrights, for your commercial gain, other than for the purposes set out in these Terms.

 

In the event that you do, we reserve the right to suspend or terminate your account, and take immediate legal action against you.

General:

VERITHRIVE will use the information you give us when you create your account to contact where necessary, for example for platform changes, marketing purposes (where you have opted in), reviews, disputes and additional/missing  information.

Marketing:

VERITHRIVE will only send marketing communications where you have opted in.

You may opt out at any time via:

  • The unsubscribe link in our emails

  • Your account settings

  • Contacting us directly

 

We do not permit third-party advertisers to track your personal data for their own purposes.

We do not routinely transfer personal data outside the UK.

Where international transfers occur, appropriate safeguards are implemented to ensure UK GDPR compliance.

We use appropriate technical and organisational measures to protect personal data, including access controls, encryption, and a secure cloud infrastructure partner, like Amazon Web Services.

We maintain a Data Breach Response Policy and will notify the ICO and affected individuals where legally required.

You are also responsible for the confidentiality of your own account, and to maintain integrity and security of your own data. This includes using strong passwords, regularly changing them, and informing us promptly of any data breach.

Personal data is retained only for as long as necessary.

Unless otherwise required by law, data is generally retained for up to 3 years following the end of the Client or Professional relationship.

Data is securely deleted or anonymised once retention periods expire.

In some circumstances you can ask us to delete your data: see Section 16: Your Data Protection Rights below for further information.

Once we no longer have a legal right to hold your personal data, we will delete or, in some circumstances, we will anonymise your personal data (so that it can no longer be associated with you) for research or statistical purposes, in which case we may use this information indefinitely without further notice to you.

If you do not use the Platform for a period of five [5] years then we will treat the account as expired and will delete your personal data.

You have the right to:

  • Access your personal data

  • Correct inaccurate data

  • Request deletion of your account and associated data

  • Object to processing

  • Restrict or suspend processing

  • Request data portability

  • Withdraw consent at any time

 

We adhere strictly to the requirements of applicable data protection laws, including the UK General Data Protection Regulation and the Data Protection Act 2018, as well as our internal data privacy policy.

Requests are free of charge and will be responded to within one month. Identity verification may be required.

You agree to keep confidential all non-public information received through the platform, whether about a User or about a Professional, their business processes, and their pricing strategies.

Updates will be posted on the platform. Continued use of the platform constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.

You may also raise a complaint with the UK Information Commissioner’s Office (ICO). We encourage contacting us first so we can address concerns promptly.

20. Review Guidance

To maintain trust, transparency, and service quality, all reviews on VERITHRIVE must comply with the following guidelines:

What Reviews Should Be

  • Honest, factual, and based on a genuine experience

  • Relevant to the service received

  • Respectful and constructive

 

What Reviews Must Not Include

  • Offensive, abusive, or discriminatory language

  • Personal attacks or defamatory statements

  • False, misleading, or exaggerated claims

  • Confidential or sensitive personal information

  • Promotional content or conflicts of interest

 

Moderation & Enforcement

  • VERITHRIVE reserves the right to moderate, remove, or edit reviews that breach these guidelines

  • Repeated misuse of the review system may result in account suspension or removal

  • Professionals may respond to reviews but must do so respectfully and professionally

 

Reviews are intended to support informed decision-making and continuous improvement across the platform.
